Objectives:
Increase student reading achievement through
  1. finding materials of interest (using book trailers and peer reviews)
  2. finding materials at reading level (lexile searching)
  3. using resource lists created by librarians and teachers
  4. writing and publishing (in the catalog) book reviews for peers
  5. social networking within the catalog framework to recommend and share ideas about materials
Prepare students for high school and post-secondary work searching databases and using search engines through
  1. showing in a graphic context concept of proximity searching
  2. using a variety of searches including power searches
  3. using the catalog to locate and reserve materials
  4. communicate with teachers and librarians requests and need for materials
Prepare instructors to
  1. communicate with students about materials via social networking
  2. show students what materials are available for assignments
  3. create resource lists for specific assignments or needs of students
